All Open Events (denoted by an asterisk) must be entered using a CTT form, which can be found here

All riders taking part in club events must use a rear light.

For Tuesday evening meetings, riders are asked to arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start to allow time for signing on, and collecting race numbers.

Venue: Rosery Hotel, Exning near Newmarket

Cost: £20 per head (including wine)

Time: to be confirmed

If you’d like to come along please let us know by contacting the club by 29 December at the latest. Partners are welcome. As we’re sharing the evening with Newmarket Cycling Club we’ll need to confirm numbers in advance.

Winter Turbo Training 2011/12

Venue: Aldreth Village Hall (on the left hand side as you drive down into the village)
Date: Tuesday evenings
Time: 7pm – 9pm (get there for 6:45pm to allow time to set up etc)
Cost: £3 members and non-members

Remember to bring the following:

Your bike (obviously!) and your turbo (we have a couple of spares so you can still turn up without a turbo of your own)
Drink(s)
Protective mat/towel for floor
Towel(s)

Geoff Brewster will bring along a laptop and projector, with which we follow some coach-led cycling DVDs.

Warm up and stretching pre- and post-workout.

Hardriders – 12th February 2012

The Hardriders event will be held this year on Sunday 12th February 2012. Please note that between the 3rd and 15th January 2012 the event organiser will only be able to be contacted by email. As always, if you’re able to help marshall the event, please contact the event manager, or email the club.

Further details to be provided as & when we get them, but information I have at present is as follows:

Date: 15th January 2011

Venue: Rosery Hotel, Exning near Newmarket

Cost: around £23 mark – similar to last year

Time: to be confirmed

Thetford Mountain Bike Series – results

A number of Ely & District Cycling members are taking part in the Thetford Mountain Bike winter series this year. Races are either 2 or 4 hours.

Race dates: 7th November, 5th December, 30th January, 27th February.
